Princes of the Apocalypse (D&D 5th edition campaign)

princes-of-the-apocalypse-sq

So this is the next big campaign WotC has come out with after Tyranny of Dragons.  Unofficially, it is a sequel to Lost Mine of Phandelver, but not so much in plot but in writing, setting, and cartography.  It’s a big one too, starting at 1st and going as high as 15th level, so it’s a massive storyline.

I love your 5e campaign write ups! They’re the only thing like it on the web. I’ve only played a few sessions of 5e and I’m hungry to read about more. You put so much effort into the images, minis, staging and story- not to mention the custom encounters- that the just the synopsis is engaging and exciting. I would love to see a real game! Thanks for putting these documented sessions online.

Thanks! I’ve been doing this for years now, it is very fun to look back later, MUCH later, and relive what happened in full color detail.

I think the summary synopsis at the beginning of each recap really gets my players and any readers back into the plot groove.

Hello! I am currently DMing this campaign in Roll20 for some of my friends. I have found your writeups extremely useful to clarify some things and also for inspiration. did you ever finish the campaign? And if so, are the writeups available somewhere? Thanks!

Hello. Thanks for commenting. We got to the penultimate episode which functioned pretty well as a final one. The actual “end” was missed because of reasons I forget, but I think someone moved away.

the campaign recaps in their entirety can be found here, I never got around to linking them all in my blog.
